Andrew Tate is back in the combat spotlight. The 38-year-old British-American influencer and former professional kickboxer has revealed plans for a high-profile boxing match while simultaneously claiming the CEO role at Misfits , the promotion previously headed by YouTube star KSI. Tate’s announcement has set the internet ablaze, blending his signature bravado with a business-minded approach to sports entertainment.

Tate revealed that the ring is a personal and professional redemption. After years of training and setbacks, including legal troubles and house arrest, he is finally preparing to express his energy into a major Misfits event. The heavyweight boxing bout, scheduled for December 20 in Dubai, will mark Tate’s official debut in professional boxing, though he brings decades of kickboxing experience to the table.

Andrew Tate takes over as Misfits CEO while teasing a high-profile boxing match

Andrew Tate has a new big role on his plate. But on top of being the new Misfits CEO, the influencer is also making his longtime dream of professional boxing come true. “I’ve been in the fight of my life for the last four years. And what kept me sane was training… All I did was train for five to six hours a day,” Tate revealed in a recent interview with Fred Talks Fighting.

The former kickboxer’s intense regimen highlights his commitment to making a statement in the ring. Tate’s last professional fight took place in December 2020, when he secured a second-round technical knockout against Cosmin Lingurar in Bucharest, adding to his decorated kickboxing record of 76 wins, 32 by knockout.

Tate has emphasized that his dual role as fighter and CEO is strategic. “Considering that I’m the largest name on the planet, if I’m gonna fight on an organisation, why not fight on an organisation that I own a percentage of? It makes a lot of business sense,” he said. The Misfits promotion, already a major platform for influencer boxing , now gains Tate’s aggressive marketing and competitive spirit.

How Andrew Tate replaced KSI after a tweet

The drama behind Tate’s takeover is equally captivating. According to Tate, a tweet from KSI three years ago sparked the chain of events that led to him assuming control. “KSI tweeted something that annoyed me three years ago, so long story short, I took his company from him,” Tate stated.

He insists that his takeover was planned, and he intends to elevate Misfits into a global powerhouse. “My intention is to make the org a lot bigger than it is and make sure everybody gets paid even more money,” he added.

Tate’s next steps involve leveraging both his influence and his fighting credentials to redefine the Misfits brand. His upcoming bout against TV personality Chase DeMoor in Dubai is just the beginning. Tate, who has been very passionate about sports, is expected to elevate Misfits' status even further.
