Chelsea have been held away at Qarabag with the visitors unable to find the winning goal in a 2-2 draw in Azerbaijan on Wednesday evening.
Estevao Willian got the Blues on their way in Baku with a fine finish after being fed by his Brazilian countryman Andrey Santos. However, Qarabag equalised later in the first-half when Leandro Andrade fired in the rebound after some poor defending allowed Camilo Duran to strike the post.
Qarabag took the lead not too long after with Marko Jankovic scoring from the penalty spot after Jorrel Hato was adjudged to have handled the ball in his own box. Not long into the second-half, Chelsea had a leveller courtesy of Alejandro Garnacho, who made an immediate impact with one of his first touches.
With all of this being said, football.london has rated the Chelsea players out of 10 based on their performance. Bobby Vincent has run the rule over the Blues below:
Robert Sanchez - 6
Second Champions League appearance of the season. Couldn't do anything for the goals.
Reece James - 6
Started at right-back for the Blues. Was given a real test against a number of really dangerous Qarabag attackers. James, though, did well in one-v-one battles.
Tosin Adarabioyo - 5
Back into the side in Baku. Gets done for the equalising goal but that was not his fault, really. Tosin shouldn't have been put in that position in the first place. Wasn't terrible, but he wasn't great either on the night.
Jorrel Hato - 3
A rare opportunity to see the Dutchman at centre-back. Gets done by a bounce from a long ball and finds himself tussling with Duran. The Qarabag forward gets the better of Hato, who was far too weak, and that led to the equalising goal for the hosts. Has to be stronger in that situation. Moments later, he's the culprit again; giving the ball away and then handballing it to give Qarabag a penalty.
Marc Cucurella - 6
A crucial interception inside his own six-yard box in the first-half to deny a big chance for Qarabag. Fantastic reading and understanding of the game from Cucurella.
Romeo Lavia - N/A
Back in the side after a cameo appearance at Tottenham, but his evening lasted less than five minutes. He pulled up early on and was replaced by Moises Caicedo.
Andrey Santos - 7
After his heroics at Wolves seven days ago, Santos was trusted from the start in Baku. Another assist for the Brazilian, laying it off to his compatriot Estevao to give the Blues the advantage early on. Unfortunate to be one of those hooked at the break.
Estevao Willian - 8
A second start in the Champions League. Second successive goal as well. Fine finish after being played through by Santos. Estevao is improving with every game. Three goals in his last three starts. What more does the 18-year-old have to do to earn a start in the Premier League?
Joao Pedro - 6
Perhaps the biggest surprise in the XI given his fitness troubles. Did really well for Estevao's goal; dropping deep and playing it around the corner first time to Santos. Should shoot more, though.
Jamie Gittens - 6
A deserved start after recent appearances. Looked really bright early on and was involved in most things good from a Chelsea perspective. Gittens will be disappointed with his end product, with that being the only thing letting him down on the night. A tad harsh for him to be brought off at half-time.
Tyrique George - 5
George led the line for the Blues in Baku. A fairly quiet evening for George, who had very few sights at goal. Hooked at half-time.
Moises Caicedo (on for Lavia 8') - 6
Came on much earlier than expected. Almost made an instant impact with his first touch but his long-range strike went over. Fought hard in there.
Enzo Fernandez (on for Santos 46') - 6
On at half-time. Immediately looked bright and was involved in plenty in an attacking sense for the visitors. His performance, though, worsened as the second-half went on.
Liam Delap (on for George 46') - 7
A point to prove after last week's red card. Great No.9 play on the halfway line to find Garnacho, whose finish was superb. Made some great runs off the ball but his teammates are not yet on the same wavelength as Delap.
Alejandro Garnacho (on for Gittens 46') - 7
Garnacho made an immediate impact. A great finish on his left foot from a tight angle after Delap fed the Argentine winger.
Facundo Buonanotte (on for Joao Pedro 71') - 6
Came on and played in the No.10 role. Unfortunately he was unable to make too much of an impact in Azerbaijan. Just wide with a decent strike on 85 minutes.
